Report: Ex-Troy star invited for tryout by Pats 04.28.09 at 1:47 pm ET

The Patriots have invited former Troy University receiver/running back Josh Allen in for a tryout. (The news was first reported here.)  A 5-foot-11, 192-pound native of Georgia, Allen was invited to rookie minicamp last year with New England, but suffered an injury and didn’t stick on the roster. In three seasons at Troy, the 23-year-old Allen had 63 catches for 703 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

    BB is always looking thats what separates him from the other Head Coaches/GM’s in the NFL…..I don’t know who else he’s invited to camp,but last years crop of UDFA’s was pretty good.Guyton,Redd,Devree,and BJGE these guys were pretty effective so the hunt for talent is on going…Good luck to Josh Allen,Brian Hoyer,Allen Appleby and whoever else might be trying too make BB’s decisions on who too keep extremely hard..
