| Report: Pats acquire Kendall Simmons | 09.06.09 at 11:40 am ET |
Multiple reports indicate that the Patriots have signed veteran offensive guard Kendall Simmons. Simmons, a first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2002, was on the shelf last season with a ruptured Achilles’ tendon. The 30-year-old out of Auburn was a free agent, and he remained unsigned throughout the summer. Simmons started 46 of 48 regular-season games from 2005 through 2007.
