Report: Edelman has broken arm 10.20.09 at 8:42 pm ET

Rookie wide receiver Julian Edelman suffered a broken arm in Sunday’s 59-0 win over the Titans, according to a report in the Boston Herald. Edelman has 21 catches for 188 yards this season with the Patriots while also serving as a punt returner.

    this leaves sam aiken as the WR3…and the Pats extremely vulnerable to further injuries at the position. They have gone from very thin to in big trouble. I have to think that Tate will factor into this offense.

    How serious is the break? I ask because there have been receivers who’ve played with broken arms – Reggie Rucker back in 1974 competed four straight games with a broken arm and kept making catches.

    Reche Caldwell – it seems the Patriots are going to make Brandon Tate a factor in the offense – from what I understand he’s been hitting the playbook all the time he’s been on the injury list.
