Seven missing at start of Patriots practice

FOXBORO — Just got back from the start of Patriots practice, and the following players were not present: wide receiver Julian Edelman, running back Fred Taylor, defensive back Jonathan Wilhite, running back Sammy Morris, left tackle Matt Light, outside lineback Adalius Thomas and defensive lineman Jarvis Green. The practice was held on the upper fields behind Gillette Stadium in full pads.
