For the fifth straight November, the Patriots will meet the Colts in a big game that will likely have playoff-seeding and home-field advantage implications.
As a matter of fact, the last time the Colts and Patriots didn’t meet in regular season was 2002, when the Patriots were coming off a Super Bowl title and the Colts were in the midst of a 10-win season, their first of soon-to-be nine straight seasons with double-digit wins.
Here’s a take on the latest installment of the rivalry this Sunday night at Lucas Oil Stadium from the two leaders of the Pats who have seen it all since 2002.
Bill Belichick said it will be different not seeing Tony Dungy across the way on the other sideline.
Belichick said these Colts have the same big stars but some new role players.
Tom Brady said the game isn’t about him and Peyton Manning.
Brady said the rivalry with the Colts is a great one.
Brady acknowledges that both teams know what’s at stake.
Brady said the Colts, with Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney, don’t change their defensive approach.
