FOXBORO  –  ’Tis the time of year to be grateful.

And Bill Belichick and Tom Brady made it clear on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, they certainly don’t take their past successes and accomplishments for granted.

And it’s somewhat appropriate that they draw the New Orleans Saints this weekend because it offers an interesting perspective on the mixed bag life in the NFL can be.

This will be New England’s first trip back to the Big Easy since Belichick and Brady kicked off their great adventure together with a 20-17 win over the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI.

And they are playing an undefeated 10-0 Saints team that reminds them of a certain 2007 team that went through the regular season unbeaten before falling in Super Bowl XLII.

From heartpounding to heartache. Belichick and Brady have pretty much seen it all since that fateful Feb. 3 day in 2002.

Here are some audio highlights from the two on Wednesday in Foxboro.

Belichick gave thanks to his boss, Patriots owner Robert Kraft for the chance to coach his team.

Belichick said this Saints team is dangerous anyway you look at them.

Belichick said the Saints have more weapons than anyone.

Brady said Kraft wanted to be sure that everyone remembers Super Bowl XXXVI when they play the Saints Monday night.

Brady said Kraft is very reflective at this time of year.

Brady said he can see a lot of 2007 Patriots in these Saints.

Brady said, even at 7-3, the Patriots are still confident they can win anywhere.
