Pats add two to practice squad

FOXBORO — The Patriots made two additions to their practice squad today, adding quarterback Jeff Rowe and wide receiver Darnell Jenkins.
Rowe is a 25-year-old out of the University of Nevada who was a fifth round pick of the Bengals in the 2007 draft and spent that year with Cincinnati. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder spent the 2008 season on Cincinnati’s practice squad and remained there until being signed by the Seahawks on December 12, 2008.
Rowe was cut in camp by the Seahawks, and worked out for several teams over the course of the season, most recently the Patriots last week.
Despite the fact that it’s been a “scramble” the last 48 hours or so, he’s clearly excited to be in Foxboro, saying he’s always liked New England.
“Big fan. They’ve always done well. Watching them growing up, I’ve been a big fan of the quarterback. I’m excited to be here,” said Rowe. “I came last week on a workout, so I was kind if hoping they’d call.”
As for Jenkins, he’s a 26-year-old wide receiver out of the University of Miami. The 5-foot-10, 188-pound Jenkins was an undrafted free agent who was picked up by Houston last year — he’s also suited up for Cleveland and Tampa Bay.
