Moss: ‘Just to let you know, I bounce back’ 12.20.09 at 4:45 pm ET
By

Randy Moss was a man on mission on Sunday and afterward he spoke about his performance at the post-game podium outside the Patriots locker room at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

“It’s been really a tough couple of weeks,” Moss said. “You move on. That’s the nature of the game. I’m happy that we got this victory.”

He then acknowledged the support of his fans while taking a veiled shot at those who criticized him for his one-catch effort the week before against Carolina.

“I appreciate all of the support from my true fans, the players, the coaches, my family and loved ones,” Moss said, adding, ”I’ve been in this league 12 years, man, and I’ve been through a lot.”

Patriots coach Bill Belichick wasted no time in giving Moss support after he caught five balls for 70 yards, including a 13-yard TD in the second quarter while drawing a 43-yard pass interference call on Bills cornerback Donte Whitner.

“He’s been one of our most consistent players the last three years,” Belichick said. “He does that a lot.”

Moss, who did not take questions, sounded a defiant tone before walking off the podium in Orchard Park, NY.

“These shoulders that I have on my body, you could put the earth on it,” he said. “Just to let you know, I bounce back.”

I am so glad Randy shut up his critics. Leave him alone. He’s not out crying for attention like Chad Ocho or T. O. He’s a quiet man and just wants to do his job. Why don’t you harp on those nuts for a while and let the best wide receiver ever to play the game do his job. Chris Carter you should be ashamed. You always were a big mouth. Thanks Key for taking Randy ‘s part and Merrill Hoge for looking at film and telling how well Randy played last week. My goodness some other players dropped balls this week , are you guys going to write them off. New England reporters you better get back in Randy’s good graces. Love ya Randy great game. funny how felger and the other white media will still find fault with randy and not say chit anything about wess welker! welker is a hard worker but gets less coverage since randy get double teamed!

  • PaPa55

Felger would find something wrong with his Grandmothers favorite dish that she put in front of him!

It was good to see him “bounce back” in this fashion.

Randy went out and did his thing today. He’s back in the top 5 in the NFL in receiving yards and I bet people will STILL find something to complain about. Every segment of this team has had good and bad games, QB, OL, RB’s, DL, LB and DB’s but Randy has a slow period and people turn on him. Sounds like Boston.

randy moss is a great player. he is one of the all-time greats. but he isn’t the best wide receiver ever. Jerry Rice is the best wide receiver ever, and IT ISN’T EVEN CLOSE.

Tom??? White Media?? Another idiot pulling race into the story. People can have their opinion and it doesnt have to be race related. Go bark up another tree

Wayne Rooney to burn on bonfire. A bonfire society unveiled its annual guy today in the form of Wayne Rooney, the scandal-hit footballer. The 49ft creation, complete with green Shrek-style ears to mock the Manchester United ace’s likeness to the animated ogre, will go up in flames at Edenbridge Bonfire Society’s annual parade and display on Saturday.
