Taylor on verge of return 12.27.09 at 9:57 am ET

FOXBORO  –  Patriots running back Fred Taylor has missed the last 10 games with a right ankle injury.

Today is likely to be the day he returns against his former team. He had surgery on Oct. 8, four days after suffering the injury at Gillette Stadium against Baltimore.

Taylor was officially listed as questionable on the Patriots Friday injury report after taking part in all three practices this week.

The Patriots could also get back the services of two starters along the defensive line as Ty Warren [ankle] is expected to start while Vince Wilfork [foot] is a game-time decision, according to the NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora.
