Former Patriot Glenn nabbed for auto theft

Former Patriots receiver Terry Glenn has been arrested in the Dallas area on a charge of auto theft, according to court records obtained by the Dallas Morning News. The paper reported Wednesday that initial details were sketchy.

The 35-year-old former star receiver, drafted in the first round (7th overall) by the Patriots in 1996, was was booked into jail in Irving, Texas around 7 p.m. Tuesday and released about 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Glenn could not be reached immediately for comment, and his attorney did not return a telephone call seeking comment. A Black Chevrolet Suburban, a rental car, was reported stolen out of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, according to Irving police. Glenn played one season in Green Bay in 2002 before finishing his career in 2007 with Dallas.
