Reports: Gostkowski gets extension 08.25.10 at 7:05 pm ET
By DJ Bean

According to a report from ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the Patriots have reached a contract extension with kicker Stephen Gostkowski. The Boston Herald is reporting it’s a four-year deal worth nearly $14 million that will begin in the 2011 season.

Gostkowski was drafted by the Patriots out of Memphis in the fourth round of the 2006 draft after Adam Vinatieri departed via free agency. He has been the starter ever since, as a competition at the kicker spot with Martin Gramatica was short-lived in the Gostkowski’s first preseason.

Gostkowski was an All-Pro an Pro Bowler in 2008. Last season, he made 26 field goals, including two of three from 50 yards or more.

He’s worth it. Thought it would take years to replace AV. Thankfully I was wrong.

Let’s see. AV won a super bowl in 2006 and Gostkowski sits on the bench during the 2007 super bowl because the coach had no faith in him. Yeah …nobody replaces a guy who kicked 3 SB winning field goals…Got it idiot!!

I believe that avoiding processed foods could be the first step to lose weight. They may taste very good, but ready-made foods possess very little nutritional value, making you take in more to have enough energy to get through the day. Should you be constantly taking in these foods, moving over to whole grain products and other complex carbohydrates will assist you to have more strength while having less. Good blog post.
