It is sad that this article has led to a discussion about poor animals and big bad hunters. I shot a deer last Saturday. Yes I have access to food, no I do not live on an island. My forefathers have put food on the table by hunting for generations. If I choose to carry on the tradition instead of walking across the street to a grocery store, so be it. Just because I have access to food in stores does not mean I can’t hunt for my own food also. FYI. More animals are killed from loss of habitat (urban sprawl) than by us hunters.
