A couple of Patriots-related news and notes for you this morning:

First, the team announced that Moses Cabrera would be joining the staff as assistant strength and conditioning coach. The Patriots had an open position following the promotion of Harold Nash from assistant strength and conditioning coach, and Cabrera got the call. Cabrera made his bones at the college level — he joins New England after spending 2010 season as the assistant strength coach at the University of Colorado and also served as the assistant strength coach at Fresno State from 2004 through 2009.

Second, wide receiver Chad Ochocinco — who has made no secret about his open flirtation with the Patriots this offseason — Tweeted a few pictures of himself working out Thursday morning at Bonmaritos in the Miami area with some New England players. Ochocinco, who said one of the pictures was of himself “and my teammate Wes Welker (teammate on Madden”) also had a shot of him and running back Fred Taylor. Several Patriots — including Taylor, Welker and Darius Butler — have been part of a large contingent lately as Bonmaritos, as players do what they can to keep in shape during the lockout.

I’d start wondering, what’s going on, if he were on the left coast working out with Brady?

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.

Great game.  Bruins played well after the first 10 minutes.

The elephant in the room right now is Chris Bourque.   Chris is the Bruce Boudreau of the AHL (Bruce was the all time leading scorer in the AHL but couldn’t play at the NHL level).   He can’t play at his size at this level and especially on this Bruins team in this system.  He can’t win a puck and he is weighing down that Peverly line.  When does this experiment end and how does it end?

I say let the kid be a legend down at Providence.  He can have a great career and be a celebrity at Providence.   Nothing wrong with getting the most out of your talent.

Or you could just give him a chance bc he’s still better than his replacement Jordan Caron.  Bruins need to draft better.. Seguin was a can’t miss, Hamilton looks like a solid pic, but Hamill, Colborne and Caron were 1st rd picks in 07,08,09 and only one is still with the team and he looks like a career AHL’er.. They passed up on a lot of talent with those picks including Logan Couture, Ryan McDonaugh, Kevin Shattenkirk, Max Pacioretty, David Perron, Wayne Simmonds, Jamie Benn, Carl Hagelin, Justin Braun, Erik Carlson, John Carlson, Jordan Eberle, Slava Voynov, Derek Stepan, Travis Hamonic, Adam Henrique, Cam Atkinson, Ryan O’Reilly, Drew Shore.

NHL drafting is never an exact science when you are drafting 17 year old kids.  While they have some obvious early round misses, the 3rd rounder from the 2010 draft Carrera (check spelling) looks good as a 6’1 winger.  I also don’t think you could argue with Marchand, Rask, Krecji and Lucci.   They have a solid foundation of guys from their system.

You can give Bourque a chance, but what are you hoping for?  He is smaller than Marchand and doesn’t have his skating ability.   There is a reason why he was left in college and the minors for this long by other NHL teams.  He is being given this chance because of his father and that probably makes everybody uneasy including Chris.

HE IS NOT better than Caron at the NHL level when Caron is healthy. He can’t win pucks at this level and he is physically outclassed.  Chris can’t compete at this level with his size and ability.
