Jonathan Baldwin to Chiefs 04.28.11 at 11:07 pm ET
By

The Chiefs made their first pick of the draft Pittsburgh wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin. Kansas City moved up to select Baldwin 26th overall. Baldwin had 822 receiving yards last season to go with five touchdowns last year as a junior. He had eight touchdowns in his sophomore year.

Technically the Chiefs didn’t move up, they got to pick before Baltimore because Baltimore’s time expired before they made a pick or trade. It’s a good pick, Baldwin is a solid reciever and addresses a dire need for Kansas City. Baldwin had an amazing 2009 season and from what I read his 2010 season was hampered by lackluster QB play. That being said, Baldwin could be super productive for the Chiefs he has better speed and probably better hands than Dwayne Bowe. The Chiefs 2011 season schedule is extremely difficult and they’ll need all the firepower they can get to keep the defenses on their toes.

After I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a remark is added I get four emails with the identical comment. Is there any means you’ll be able to remove me from that service? Thanks!
