The Patriots have selected Colorado tackle Nate Solder 17th overall in the NFL draft. Solder stands at a mammoth 6-foot-8 and 319 pounds.
Solder is one of the more raw prospects to go in the first round, as he is still getting used to playing tackle after being recruited like a tight end (a transition that is not uncommon). We got to know Solder back at the combine. Here’s our story from February.
