Buccigross, you are an absolute moron. Have you ever heard of something called the NHL Salary Cap? You might want to check it out, it’s all the rage since the 2004 lockout, maybe you missed the memo?

Jay Bouwmeester is a 6.68 million dollar cap hit this year and next season. Bouwmeester would only be the fourth best defenseman on the Bruins yet the second highest paid player? Chara only makes 6.9 against the cap. Adding Bouwmeester means the Bruins would absolutely have to move on from both Tuuka Rask and Nathan Horton after this year. That is not going to happen. Bouwmeester may be a fast skater but be displays no other signs of Bruins play. Bouwmeester shys away from contact and is in no way shape or form worth 6 million in cap room.

Then your other big choice for the Bruins was Martin St Louis, who has the same exact problem as Bouwmeester. St Louis’s cap hit is 5.6 million next two seasons and that means the Bruins won’t be able to resign Horton who is a better player than St Louis moving forward.

Then Ryan Clowe, why woudl the Bruins who desperately need goal scoring trade for a guy with 0! That is right 0! goals this year? Please explain how that helps at all?
