Didn’t Brady have complications due to infection?  If I recall during the 12 week post surgery period when the graft begins the process of revascularization, his was compromised due to the onset of infection.  If I recall he had to undergo a couple procedures to clean it out.  The down side is that the graft could have failed and he would have lost 3-4 months which would have jeopardized the 2009 season.    The ACL graft is strongest day after surgery then actually becomes weaker (it’s weakest at weeks 10-12 or so) until it begins to regenerate as revascularization takes place.  With all the medical technology and improvement there still is a timetable when it comes to bones healing (where the graft is inserted) and the graft regenerating.  (I had the surgery, but I’ll bet you couldn’t tell).

There are great doctors right here in Mass, particulary out at UMASS.  He should stay local.  And it’s all about the PT after surgery.  Rondo’s young enough he should be fine.  It’s not the end of the world like before.  I personally think meniscus damage is worse.  (Hopefully Rondo just tore the ACL.)
