According to TMZ, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski recently bought a $1.6 million mansion in Tampa.

The house, which TMZ calls a “partier’s dream” (or it’s just a house), has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, built-in fish tanks, surround sound throughout the house, three outdoor entertainment areas, an infinity pool and a spa.

Prior to the season, Gronkowski, who is still in his rookie deal, signed a six-year extension with the Patriots worth $54 million.

Here are some pictures of the house, courtesy of TMZ.

      Hookersareus… Dont be a HATER !!!

Go ahead and keep thinking that while Gronkowski laughs all the way to the hall of fame. The only thing that will stop him from getting a bust in canton will be his health on the football field, not his partying off.

Congratulation next one will be 10 million !!

Great move by Gronk….cant blame him for wanting to get out of Massachusetts during the winter months….it is misery!!!

    • Boring media hype

      Agreed 100%

1.6 million?  That’s about right for a responsible home investment considering the percentage of his salary.  Quick, think about what you owe on your mortgage (unless you’re an illegal alien….then you don’t pay a mortgage…I pay your rent….but I digress) then figure out what percentage of your pay for the next 6 years that would be.  Who did better, Gronk or you???

time will tell. time will tell if some of these young, hungry, tremendously talented guys like Gronk and Hernandez get so financially secure that the glitz, fame and coin turn them into prima donnas, pains in the azz. Gronk already shows bad judgement in consorting with the wrong “element” so who knows. The guy who can enjoy his wealth and still keep his focus on his professional career is becoming more and more rare.

I don’t know. I saw him consorting with a pretty attractive “element”.

Boring media hype–That was my thought too. A nice $1.6 million home is a smart purchase for someone with such a large income. It is also the cost of some homes in upscale Boston areas, which are purchased by people who will not see $54 million over the next 50 years. From what I hear, Gronk is actually very smart with his money. He banks his salary and lives off of his endorsement deals.

Why ask for the headaches?  He’s a little young to need that isn’t he?  Unless his father manages it for him.

  • ToNg WrAw

He’ s gonna destroy that place!!

Nice crib.  Tampa real estate is dirt cheap because the city is a dump.  Good for him.  Maybe he watched the ESPN 30 for 30 special on athletes that urinate their money away.  Now we just need that arm to heal up so we get him back for the playoffs.

Its a buyers market and for his salary this was a very smart move. He didn’t overspend and tmz is the one lableing it as a party house not him. Leave the kid alone and let him be the Gronk!
