  • JOH in NC

I saw Vinicio play in Greensboro NC on Friday.  Good quickness and arm at SS.  Dropped one grounder  and still recovered to make a 6-3 DP.  At the plate (lefty that night) swings hard.  Very sleight guy, more like a high school junior, but he lined a ball over the RF fence 350 feet away that went out quick like a Dwight Evans hr.  The next time up he tried to bunt for a hit–was he instructed to do this as not to become homer-happy?  The bunts went foul, then he singled with a liner over the 3bman (“using the whole field”), stole second, went to third on a WP and scored on a single.

Even if he can come back against the jags or miami, the seedings will probably be pretty set by then. We don’t need him to beat those teams. It’s in the playoffs that Gronk will be unleashed.

Choflo36 I agree we need a healthy Gronk for the playoffs something we didn’t have in the Super Bowl.
