FOXBORO — For the ninth time since Gillette Stadium opened a decade ago, the Patriots will host a home playoff game. This one will be on Jan. 13 at 4:30 p.m. Individual tickets for the AFC divisional playoff game will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. exclusively through Ticketmaster.
In the first 34 years of the franchise’s history, the Patriots hosted just one playoff game — a loss to the Houston Oilers in 1978. Since Robert Kraft bought the team in 1994, the Patriots have qualified for the playoffs 14 times, including 12 times as division champions.
With a 12-4 regular-season record, the Patriots claimed their fourth consecutive division title and enter this year’s playoffs as the second seed in the conference. It is the fourth time in franchise history that the team has earned the second seed, advancing to the Super Bowl on three of those occasions. Historically, that home-field advantage has helped propel the Patriots through the playoffs, as they have won an NFL-best 13 of the last 15 home playoff games.
After fulfilling orders for season ticket-holders and wait list members this week, the Patriots will place remaining tickets on sale to the public on Monday at 10 a.m., exclusively through Ticketmaster.
All Patriots playoff ticket orders will be processed through Ticketmaster. Playoff tickets will not be sold at the Gillette Stadium ticket office. Ticket orders can be processed one of two ways, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone by calling 800-745-3000. Visa, a sponsor of the National Football League and the Patriots, will be the only accepted form of payment.
