Rob Gronkowski and Danny Woodhead injured early 01.13.13 at 5:07 pm ET
By

FOXBORO — Rob Gronkowski appeared to re-injure his left forearm diving to make an athletic catch on the sideline on New England’s second possession.

Gronkowski dove along the deep right sideline and came down on the forearm. He immediately went to the bench and was tended to by team doctor Tom Gill. After holding the arm and appearing to be doubled over in pain, he stood up and was escorted to the Patriots locker room for further attention.

Gronkowski was playing in his second game back from breaking the forearm on Nov. 18 against the Colts.

Meanwhile, after a carry on the Patriots’ first offensive possession of the game, Danny Woodhead left the game with a left thumb injury and his return is questionable.

It was obvious LAST game that Gronk was favoring his broken arm.  How dare the coaches depend on the players to let them know when they’re injured.  They KNOW they won’t be honest.  Someone has to be an adult here.  Gronk should not have been out on this field.  Would serve Belichick right if he’s out for the rest of the year.

Pretty obvious he wasn’t going to be able to come back THAT quick from a broken arm after having surgery on it. Once you start falling down on your arm, he’s just more likely to re-injure if not fully healed.

Alice you are wrong here…..”be an adult”??  He had medical clearance and felt he could play through the pain.  They are obviously a better team even if he was at 80% so it basically was not much of a decision.  Hey everyone is entitled to their opinion…..I think yours is not valid regarding this matter.

Thank God that turd Woodhead got hurt, now we dont have to watch him flop around on the field like a fish out of water and curse McDaniels every time he touches the ball running into the interior of the DLine.  F him.

Alice please grow a pair. From Dec. to Feb . we pain with a lot of pain. We dont take time off. This is football , not girlball.

  • Fine China

Gronk is like fine china, jeez… if it aint broke, take a shot and get back in there

  • Brian

Medical doctors cleared him.  Broken bones heal, his healed in a reasonable time period.  Bones can break again, his possibly broke again.  Your general tone sounds petty and ignorant and the narrative you’re spewing is baseless, you should be embarrassed by the totality of your ignorance.  You should probably stop writing things on the internet.

    doctor decision no?

    But it IS broke.

You $hitting me? Woody has stepped up so many times in big games. EX: Vs. the 49ers, in the Superbowl, etc. Vereen played well today, but don’t you dare UNDERVALUE and UNDERRATE Woodhead. He is Brady’s security blanket and a Big Time Player!!!

  • ScoopBurton

Woodhead is a circus attraction…..pull up his stats in playoff games….case closed

Don’t know what your smoking but wake up and smell the coffee.

You’re pretty brave saying that hidden away in your small world. At least he’s on the field, you can’t even hold your own dick.
