I don’t think he was acquitted. I think he plea bargained for one year of probation after telling on the others involved in the stabbing deaths of two people then he reached a civil agreement with the families out of court.

Ever since Ray Lewis announced his retirement the NFL has let the Ravens get away with murder, so to speak. The 2nd most penalized team during the regular season has been the least penalized team on a per game basis in the playoffs…even Mangini who hates the Patriots stated that the Ravens got away with a lot of penalties on Sunday. With that being said, the Ravens outplayed the Patriots in the 2nd half as the loss of Talib and Gronk were highlighted by Boldin’s 2 TDs and our difficulty in the red zone. Baltimore is a poor city with a high violent crime rate (especially murder)with very few bright spots, the Ravens being 1 of them. Ray Lewis and Terrel Suggs are perfect heroes and role models for Baltimore. I agree that a person can change and turn their life around, but first they must admit their past regressions and be held responsible for their actions. Ray Lewis has never done this. If I am to believe that God wanted Ray Lewis, Terrel Suggs and the Ravens to be in the Super Bowl, then that explains how God let Newtown happen as well.
