Alfonzo Dennard, Steve Gregory ruled out for Monday’s game against Carolina

11.16.13 at 4:00 pm ET

Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard and safety Steve Gregory were officially downgraded to out on Saturday afternoon for Monday’s contest against the Panthers.

Dennard had been at practice all week prior to Saturday, but had popped up on the injury report as “limited” because of a knee problem. That apparently has gotten worse over the last few days, because he’ll miss his first game of the season against Carolina. Meanwhile, Gregory has been slowed by a thumb injury he sustained in the recent win over the Steelers, and is expected to be on the shelf for the next couple of weeks.

Here’s the complete report:

Did Not Practice
CB Alfonzo Dennard (knee) OUT
S Steve Gregory (finger) OUT

Limited Participation
CB Kyle Arrington (groin) QUESTIONABLE
CB Aqib Talib (hip) QUESTIONABLE
RB Leon Washington (ankle) QUESTIONABLE

Full Participation
WR Danny Amendola (groin) PROBABLE
QB Tom Brady (right shoulder) PROBABLE
TE Rob Gronkowski (back/forearm/hamstring) PROBABLE
WR Matthew Slater (wrist) PROBABLE
