Sebastian Vollmer played eight seasons in the NFL, but it appears he will be calling it quits.

Perhaps he could be going into the media now that his playing days are over (he’s attending the NFL’s Broadcast Boot Camp this week) and he appeared as a guest on Good Morning Football on Wednesday.

Vollmer was asked about Tom Brady being on the cover of Madden and if it’s a curse?

The former right tackle said if anyone can break the curse it is Brady, and Vollmer added he believes Brady can play until he’s 50.

“I mean, if you’re the GOAT, you have to go,” Vollmer said. “You got no choice. I mean, hey, the guy has done so many incredible things. If there is a guy to break the curse it is definitely him. I love the commercial he did. He may be tempting fate a little bit there, but I mean he is probably going to play until he’s 50. There may be a 10-year reunion and I am coming out in a suit and shaking hands and he is still warming up throwing the football. That is the type of guy he is.”

Vollmer never came off the PUP list last season with a few injuries and said being at Super Bowl LI was tough, but also he was very happy for his team.

“It’s a frustrating year,” he said. “You work all year to get to the point where you want to play. As a player, obviously you always feel like you can help the team. You always feel if you’re out there maybe things go differently. When the first half of the Super Bowl doesn’t go the way you had it envisioned, you had it game planned out, it’s a humbling experience. Then, I have been there before so you feel like halftime, you have 30 minutes, maybe a little more to really readjust. If there is a team to do it, it’s the Patriots and once again they showed they can do it.

“On a personal level, I was super happy for myself, my teammates, my friends and my family. On the other hand, I am bitter because I wanted to be on the field and help my team.”
